If you're interested in reading about some of the key design decisions behind 6th edition then head over to Faeit 212 where there is an excellent round up of all the details for a GW 40k Studio Open Day. The main thing I found interesting was the notion of 'associative' and 'disassociative' rules, which was apparently one of the key design drivers behind the new ruleset.
